So sorry for the lack of posts this week! It was a busy week and I had dental surgery on Friday (I hate the dentist, can you relate). Stitches in the mouth and the works! So I've been feeling a bit under the weather and grumpy because my mouth is in pain....
The worst part...I will be getting one of these in the next 6 weeks. Yes, that's right folks I have to get a gold cap on my very very back tooth (no one should be able to see it...I hope). I was really bummed after my dentist told me this little fact, but then I had a thought, maybe it's chic to have a gold tooth?

Beauty and strength is within each of us. Have you taken off your mask to look at the real beauty you hold inside? You'll be amazed at what you can accomplish when you take a close look at who you are and the strength you hold within. A few inspirations quotes I love. Paste them somewhere you'll see everyday."In each of us there are places we have never gone. Only by pressing the limits do you ever find them." Joyce Brothers"Our greatest joy is not in ever falling, but in getting up every time we do." Confucius"The aim of life is self-development. To realize one's nature perfectly - that is what each of us is here for." Oscar WildeA gorgeous image and a few inspirational quotes for the start of a beautiful day.*(P.S. Isn't this mask wonderful, if you must wear one, make sure it's this chic!)*{Via}

I'm a hat person, which you might have already guessed from my previous post and my profile picture! I love how a hat can completely transform an outfit from boring to uber chic in about 2 seconds.Next on my list...an adorable hat in a bright pop of color. What a fabulous way to update this simple black dress!
I'm a huge Elizabeth and James fan. I love their unique and sharp style. Very downtown is perfectly mixed with a floral dress or layered with a chunky cardigan for fall.

*I just love fall, don't you?
Today is HOT in NY. It's that suffocating heat that beats down on you and follows you throughout the day. Heat radiates from the street, smells become stronger and all you long for is the chilling blast of AC against your sweat soaked face. The 90 degree weather has arrived and hopefully will see himself out very soon. Today I want to be laying on the beach, enjoying the sun with the ocean at my feet to cool me down.

Ok, I'll admit it I am seriously addicted to J.Crew! I really do covet everything I see in the store. When I get a new catalog I dog ear everything I think is adorable and worthy, then I realize I've dog eared the entire catalog. I love mixing my J.Crew with a mixture of vintage and other goodies from various designers. Needless to say, when I saw they collaborated with Essie on two new nail polishes, I instantly purchased these little treats! Oh, J.Crew, I covet you....
Living in NYC, I have found myself getting very anxious and wanting the quiet peacefulness of a little zen place. It wouldn't have to be anything big or grand. Just a quiet place I could go and enjoy being outside. Somewhere I could fix up and then walk outside and sit, just sit and listen to the birds while I enjoy a cup of coffee. Right now, this is far from the case. I sit at a desk, have my coffee against the rhythmic sounds of car horns, large trucks barreling down 2nd Avenue, dogs barking, children screaming (adults screaming too), power tools working and every once in a while a bird chirps (not too often). You get used to this symphony of sounds. Pretty soon you can sleep through anything, I hardly notice when a car horn goes off, it has become the backdrop of my life.*Sigh* I am anxious now. I want a little garden in my backyard. I want to have coffee and hear the birds chirp again...oh some day soon.
When I have my outdoor space I want to adorn, decorate and design it....
